Memphis House Concerts is an intimate music experience comparable to the most notable listening rooms in the country. Think of the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, the Ark in Ann Arbor, and Freight and Salvage in Berkeley and you'll have a good idea of what we are all about.
We host roughly 6-8 shows a year with the finest songwriters in the country from Grammy nominees and Emmy winners to relative unknowns.
Currently, we are on a short hiatus. But we will be back in 2014.
Door(s) at 7pm
Shows start at 8 so the old people with kids can get home.
We have a suggested donation that is usually $20 per person with 100% of the door going to the artist(s).
While these shows are officially by invitation only (for legal reasons), we love to hear from new people who are interested in attending. Just send us an email using the email link below and we'll send you an invitation.
If you are an artist interested in playing our show, please read the information on the "For Artists" page.
MUSIC FOR ALEX
Our oldest son Alex suffers from a form of autism known as Asperger's Syndrome. Many of the artists who have played our show have donated CD's or a percentage of merch sales to our "Music for Alex" fund. All of the donations go to support Concord Academy. Concord Academy is an accredited school for children with Spectrum Disorders including severe ADHD and Asperger's.
